Paradise Township is considering revising an ordinance such that a laser-gun facility can be used, especially for war recreations where children could be the major participants and where children could be encouraged to aim toy guns at other children and pretend to shoot each other. An applicant from Newark, New Jersey, who would like to use an area less than is currently required for such an activity, has hired a local lawyer to try to have the township lower its minimum area requirements, which currently preclude this activity.
