Newark man burglarized Union homes while residents slept, police say

UNION - Township police have arrested a man they say confessed to three burglaries last summer, carried out while the residents were home. Moses Williams, 49, of Keer Avenue in Newark, has been charged with three counts of burglary and theft in connection with three separate burglaries: on Bushnell Street on July 25, on Balmoral Avenue on Aug. 1, and on Berkshire Drive on Aug. 6. In each of the three burglaries, the residents were home and were either getting ready for bed or had already gone to sleep, Detective Capt.
