Senior forward Nyasia Franklin poured in a game high 27 points plus being named MVP while senior guard Kyriah English chipped in with 23 points as the East Orange Jaguars crushed the East Shabazz Bulldogs 70-44 in the opening game of the Newark National Invitational at the Prudential Center in Newark. Danielle Robinson led Shabazz with 18 points and named MVP for the Bulldogs.
