NEWARK - The victim of a fatal shooting in Newark's South Ward Wednesday night has been identified as a 25-year-old city man. Dennis M. Brooks was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 200 block of Osborne Terrace at around 7:30 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable said in a statement.
