NEWARK - New Jersey and Newark officials are asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed against them by a man who was charged and then acquitted in the 1978 murder of five teenage boys from Newark. Lee Evans claims in his lawsuit that authorities fabricated evidence and maliciously prosecuted him as part of an alleged conspiracy to help Cory Booker win a second term as Newark's mayor.
