NJPAC's 'Mount Rushmore' men tell story of their own monument

The four men on stage were introduced by John Schreiber, the president and CEO of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, as the "The Mount Rushmore of NJPAC." Certainly, former New Jersey Gov. Thomas Kean, philanthropist Ray Chambers, former Newark Mayor Sharpe James, and Lawrence Goldman, the first president and CEO of NJPAC, created a monument of their own when they joined forces to bring the arts center from idea to drawing board to the first-class bricks and mortar building that has been the anchor to Newark's downtown revitalization.
