NEWARK -- A stolen Pablo Picasso painting, missing for years and once valued at $2.5 million, was recently uncovered by customs officials at the Port of Newark. On Thursday, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York filed a civil complaint to forfeit the seized painting and hand it back to the French government, according to a news release.
