The Passing of Cephas Bowles, an advocate of Jazz, dies at 62

Its is with sadness to report the passing of Cephas Bowles, an invigorating force behind Newark's WBGO, dead at 62. Cephas Bowles, the president and CEO of Newark's WBGO Jazz 88.3, died. Bowles passed away Saturday at Hackensack University Medical Center following complications from a stem cell transplant, said his wife, Linda Arrington-Bowles.
