February 21, 2015 - Newark, New Jersey - Willie McCallum of Bearsden, Scotland, was the overall winner of the annual Metro Cup Solo Piping Competition, held at the Ramada Plaza Newark Liberty International Airport. With a win in the Piobaireachd and a second in the Medley event, McCallum narrowly edged out Alex Gandy, who won the light music and was third in the Piobaireachd.
