Jury deadlocked on some charges in trial over Newark cop's murder

NEWARK - An Essex County jury said today it was deadlocked on some of the charges against Rasul McNeil-Thomas in the 2011 fatal shooting of an off-duty Newark police officer. In a note sent to Superior Court Judge Robert Gardner this afternoon, the judge said the jurors wrote, "The jury agrees on some charges, but is hung on others."
