Baraka says Newark in 'state of emergency' after bloody holiday weekend

NEWARK - On the heels of a bloody holiday weekend, Mayor Ras Baraka has announced a number of measures he hopes will curb the wave of violence he said has created a "state of emergency" in the city. Three people have been killed and at least eight others wounded in Newark since Thursday.
