Newark Liberty, John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia airports had a total of just 12 guns seized at security checkpoints in 2014 as of Dec. 25, among 2,164 guns seized at airports nationwide, according to the Transportation Security Administration. Dallas-Fort Worth alone had 117 guns seized, said the TSA, which attributed the disparities to state gun laws.
