Moses E. Beasley was fatally shot on the 200 block of 14th Avenue at about 7:45 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced in a release Thursday. He was pronounced dead at 8:09 p.m., authorities said.
