Clement Romans, 61, of Scotch Plains, has been on trial in Essex County on aggravated assault and related offenses for shooting a 17-year-old boy outside his Newark restaurant. NEWARK - Outside his Newark restaurant in June 2013, Clement Romans fired a gun amid a crowd of juveniles and struck one 17-year-old boy in the back of the neck.
