Carleen Villaneuva had two hits with four RBI and Ashley Rivera had a three-run triple to lead 24th-seeded Technology to an 18-3 four-inning victory over 25th-seeded Barringer in the preliminary round of the Essex County Tournament in Newark. Destiny Castro had two hits with an RBI and two runs scored, Karina Gonzalez added two hits with three runs scored, and Yasmary Cespedes had two singles with four runs scored to pace Technology.
