Urban League of Essex County lends support from housing to job training

For nearly 100 years, the Urban League of Essex County has provided emergency relief to people in dire financial and emotional straits in Newark and surrounding communities. The nonprofit agency, which benefits from donations made to the Greater Newark Holiday Fund, provides support to people of all ages through, among other things, counseling and mentoring, job training, career advancement programs, housing relief and re-entry programs.
