A tragic life of homelessness, crime, abuse and illness ended last night in a possible homicide at Jersey City's Franciska Residence, a 14-bed transitional housing program for homeless men living with HIV/AIDS located Downtown, officials said. Jose Rodriguez, 51, originally of Newark, was found dead in a room at the residence by his roommate and investigators found he had been struck about the head with an object, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino said.
