Homicides in New Jersey fell to their lowest levels in five years during 2014, propelled by decreases in Newark and Camden - two of the most state's most notorious centers of violence. An NJ Advance Media survey of prosecutor's office in the state's 21 counties found that at least 354 people died under violent circumstances during 2014 - the lowest total since 2009, when just 320 homicides were recorded.
