The first chapter of UConn's inaugural Hockey East season, five consecutive road games in 16 days, has come to a close. "It will be a nice measuring stick," coach Mike Cavanaugh said of a rematch with Merrimack Friday at the Liberty Invitational in Newark, N.J. In the first conference game of the season Oct. 18 in North Andover, Mass., where Cavanaugh was raised, UConn carried a lead against Merrimack into the final minute but lost 2-1 in overtime.
