Irvington man, 33, shot and killed, police say

Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers confirmed that the man was pronounced dead after being taken to University Hospital in Newark to be treated for his injuries. Police had discovered him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Springfield Avenue at around 10:11 p.m., Bowers said.
