NEWARK - While serving a 30-year prison sentence for two fatal shootings in 2003, Wali Williams was released from prison in May 2013 after his conviction was overturned due to an illegal police search. Williams, 30, of Newark, and two co-defendants appeared before Superior Court Judge Ronald Wigler for their arraignment after being indicted last month on charges related to the March 3, 2014 fatal shooting of 21-year-old Newark resident Anthony Flowers in the city.
