NEWARK - A fatal shooting in the city early Sunday morning is under investigation, according to Essex County chief assistant prosecutor Thomas Fennelly. Fennelly said the shooting occurred in the 100 block of Halstead Street in Newark just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
