NEWARK - Newark's city council unanimously passed a resolution today urging the state to approve the proposed sale of Saint Michael's Medical Center to a California-based firm. Council members said approving the deal to sell Saint Michael's to Prime Healthcare Services was imperative to keeping the facility open.
