Accused killer maintains innocence in Short Hills mall carjacking

Essex County public defender, Jennifer Sellitti, center, enters a plea of not guilty on behalf of Hanif Thompson, right, one of the four defendants in the the fatal carjacking of 30-year-old Dustin Friedland at The Mall at Short Hills, as he appears before Superior Court Judge Ronald Wigler. Newark, NJ 10/22/14 Friedland is suing various defendants, including the mall's owners and California-based Universal Protection Service, which has provided security services at the upscale mall in Millburn.
