Township resident spearheads initiatives for homeless women

Women from the York Street Project look at art in the main gallery of The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, in Summit, last fall. Two years ago, township resident Cynthia McChesney spearheaded an initiative with the Christ Church of Short Hills to bring a satellite medical clinic for homeless women and children to The Apostles House homeless shelter, in Newark.
