Fatal shooting was 'Hollywood' moment for 19-year-old murder suspect, witness says

After grabbing the gun back from a man, Brooks stood under the light and opened fire on Elizabeth Avenue in Newark, ultimately killing an "innocent man," Prophet said. "She snatched the gun back and she told her friends, 'Look out,' and she just started shooting," Prophet testified today at Brooks' trial on murder and related charges in connection with the Feb. 3, 2013 incident.
