Newark sewage treatment plant receives $260M grant for Sandy recovery

The federal government has awarded a $260 million grant to the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission to build a flood wall and emergency power station at its treatment plant in Newark, in order to prevent another environmental catastrophe like the one that followed Superstorm Sandy two years ago.
