Hockey: Yale edges UConn, 2-1, to capture Liberty Invitational Tournament Title

Ryan Hitchcock committed to Yale in 2011, but it took more than three years to get him on the ice for the Bulldogs. Hitchcock netted the game-winner in a shootout on Friday before helping Yale get on the board again on Sunday when the Manhassett, N.Y. native and former New Jersey Rocket junior player set up Frankie DiChiara to give Yale a lead it would not relinquish in a 2-1 triumph over the University of Connecticut in the final of the second annual Liberty Hockey Invitational at The Prudential Center in Newark.
