Authorities investigating after Newark officer fires gun at stolen vehicle

NEWARK - Authorities are investigating an incident in which a city officer fired his weapon at a stolen vehicle Sunday afternoon. Sgt. Ronald Glover, a spokesman for the Newark police, said officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South 20th Street in the West Ward at around 3 p.m. for a report of a sick or possibly injured person inside a car.
