Shipment of road salt from Chile is a welcome arrival for NJ, towns, counties

So when Mountainside Public Works Director Ronald Romak heard a shipment of salt arrived in Port Newark from Chile yesterday to replenish the state's depleted reserves, he grew hopeful that his 4-square-mile town nestled in the Watchung Mountains would be ready to weather New Jersey's next snow storm.
