Passenger in Newark airport near-miss saw plane 'headed right at us'

An air traffic controller in the tower at Newark Liberty International Airport told a United Jet to abort its landing on east-west Runway 29 on April 24, to avoid colliding with an ExpressJet that was just taking off on north-south Runway 4R.
