Newark designer Narciso Rodriguez's fashions

Designer Narciso Rodriguez, shown here with models backstage after a fashion show, will be awarded the National Design Award this year from the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Rodriguez was born in Newark, and was raised in the city's Ironbound section and in Kearny.
