Pope names Bishop Hebda to be N.J. coadjutor archbishop

Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Bernard Hebda of Gaylord, Mich., and formerly of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, to be coadjutor archbishop of Newark, N.J. As coadjutor, he would automatically succeed Newark Archbishop John Myers, 72, upon his retirement or death.
