Rain would not stop Newarkers from honoring MLK, 1963 March on Washington

That they were standing underneath umbrellas, large and small, at Lincoln Park in Newark, that the drops spattered their faces, that the grass was soggy and feet got damp, Some, without any cover, stood underneath the trees, and listened and cheered, the leaves sagging and the rain sliding down.
