Snow Blankets Northeast, Could Cause Messy Commute

The same storm system that brought heavy snow and near-blizzard conditions from Nebraska to Pennsylvania in recent days is now expected to drop three to eight inches on the New York City area and possibly more than that in Boston, Hartford, Providence and parts of New Hampshire and Vermont. More than 2,000 flights were cancelled for Monday, largely in Chicago; Newark, N.J.; Boston and New York.
