Newark federal magistrate Madeline Cox Arleo confirmed as U.S. district judge

U.S. Magistrate Judge Madeline Cox Arleo, who runs a program in Newark federal court that helps former inmates adjust to life outside of prison, was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate Thursday as a U.S. district judge. "She is a New Jerseyan who - in her life and career - has embodied the qualities of respect for justice and the rule of law we look for in all of our judicial nominees," Menendez said.
