Newark archdiocese removes reference to archbishop in title of annual fundraising appeal

The Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, has removed a reference to Archbishop John Myers from an annual fundraising appeal, perhaps responding to criticism that the archbishop received over reports that he was building an expensive retirement home. The renamed "Sharing God's Blessings Appeal" will be an attempt to revive public support for the archdiocese.
