Point man pleads guilty to bribery

A doctor who lives in Point Pleasant and practices in Wall and Howell townships admitted Monday to accepting bribes in exchange for test referrals as part of a long-running scheme operated by Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services LLC [BLS], of Parsippany. On Monday, Anthony DeLuca, 52, of Point Pleasant, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Stanley R. Chesler in Newark federal court to one count of accepting bribes, according to the attorney general's office.
