Officials: Suspect In Critical Condition After Police-Involved Shooting In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. - A Newark police officer shot a suspect who was struggling with other officers, authorities said. Police, working to eliminate firearms from the street, were trying to stop and interview the suspect Thursday night when he fled in a cab, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.
