Newark man shot, killed while walking on Irvington street

IRVINGTON - A 20-year-old Newark man was shot and killed while walking down an Irvington Street Tuesday afternoon, according to police. Irvington Police Director Tracey Bowers said the man, who has not been identified, was shot multiple times outside 748 Springfield Avenue around 5:25 p.m. Two men were seen fleeing the scene in a white SUV, according to Bowers, though no suspects in the case have been identified.
