NEWARK - Authorities believe the man who fled Newark Liberty International Airport in a stolen rental car Tuesday may have been struck when a state trooper opened fire in an attempt to stop him. According to a memo distributed to area police agencies on Tuesday, state police believe the man, who remains at large, may have sought medical attention after being shot.
