Cory Booker and Steve Lonegan square off on crime

Taking to the national stage in Washington, Newark Mayor Cory Booker pitched ideas that he said had been effective in combating violence in his city, such as working with a Republican-leaning think tank to reduce recidivism, in a discussion about crime with President Obama and other urban mayors on Monday.
