PATH service from Newark to Journal Square is resuming after a mechanical problem at the Dock Bridge in Newark caused a three-hour delay, according to the Port Authority. According to PATHalerts , service on the Newark-Journal Square line was suspended at 1:47 p.m. and returned, with delays, shortly before 5 p.m. Ron Marsico, a spokesman for the Port Authority, said the vertical lift bridge that spans the Passaic River and connects Newark to Harrison, was not locking back in place properly after some inspections earlier in the day.
