Newark man caught running 'open-air drug bazaar', sheriff says

NEWARK - A city man was arrested on numerous drug and weapons charges Wednesday after police caught him selling off a garbage bag full of crack, heroin and other drugs, authorities said. Amir Bey, 21, was loitering in the area of Clinton Place and West Runyon Street around noon Wednesday when Essex County Sheriff's detectives witnessed him retrieve the bag from underneath a porch, remove an item and hand it to a passerby in exchange for cash, Sheriff Armando Fontoura said in a statement.
